Toronto Blue Jays 2013 Season

Today is the day! Opening Day that is for my favourite sports team the Toronto Blue Jays 2013 season.

A lot has happened since last year. New acquisitions, trades, money was spent! The Blue Jays went all in for this year and are touted as favourites to win the World Series. But it is a long season and only time will tell. We need to stay healthy and play to our abilities. One position I have some doubts is our closer. I have confidence but the experience isn’t there. Hopefully Santos and Janssen can hold up and deliver when it counts.

I will be heading down to the Skydome (Rogers Centre to most) nice and early to get the whole experience and to avoid the massive amounts of people trying to get in close to first pitch. 50,000+ will be in attendance. It’s been a while since I was in the dome with a sold out crowd, but I must say…I can’t wait!

“I’m too excited to sleep, it feels like Christmas morning.” Yes, I said this at 7:30am to my fiancee and she laughed. She supports my sometimes overly fanatical Blue Jays obsession, but hey…I grew up playing ball and that’s what ball players are like.
