ODD SEOUL
SWEET EATS – MY GUIDE TO THE BEST FOOD IN T.O.
Feature: ODD SEOUL
There is great atmosphere at this unassuming Korean Tapas restaurant on the bustling Ossington strip. Here try the classics with a Korean twist!
We started with the Mackerel, torched table side. This is a small appetizer for two, so if you have a larger group and everyone would like a bite, I would suggest getting a few orders. Fresh, simple flavours, and a great way to start our meal!
Next we shared The ‘Loosey’, a burger of beef shoulder and chuck on sesame toast with all of your classic toppings and marinated kimchi… YUM!
This is our second time at Odd Seoul and both of have been thinking about the next two dishes since we last came in April.
Squash Poutine, Pork Belly and Kimchi Fried Rice.
Jess fancy’s herself a fried rice expert and this dish does not disappoint…it may be a touch on the spicy side but lots of delicious flavours and let’s get real, any dish with pork belly satisfies my hunger! I would say the Squash Poutine is Odd Seoul’s Signature and best dish. The miso curry gravy is lick the bowl worthy and for someone that doesn’t normally like squash, this dish has me impressed.
Why we come here: Great Music, Friendly and Attentive staff, Old School Cocktails with a twist (I like the Odd Fashioned) and the Fried Rice and Squash Poutine!
Things to know: We’ve only come for an early meal, but the restaurant is small so be prepared if you are with a large group. The food comes fast, so take your time ordering and enjoying the cozy space!
